You must develop fresh strategies to differentiate your B2B SaaS business from the competition. Don’t overlook the tried-and-true techniques just because you might be looking for the “latest and greatest” new ones. Growth hacks are interesting to read about and experiment with, but make sure you always put the majority of your energy into the fundamentals. They are classics because they are effective, after all!
Here are four ways of marketing that I’ve found to work well for both my clients and my business. Do you employ them to your advantage?
Make sure your existing content provides you with every drop of possible value
You must regularly post new content, am I correct? Yes, but keep in mind that you already have content. If you regularly evaluate and maximise what you have, it can do a lot for you.
Review your blogs, landing pages, and web copy often to make better use of your resources. Sections of your material should be updated, optimised, and rewritten, and new lead magnets should be included. Change your calls to action and add new keywords. Search engines will see this as new content and rank you higher because of it.
Make sure you leverage the power of your competitors’ brands
The SaaS market is experiencing never-before-seen levels of competition, but you can find a way to take advantage of it. By using Google Ads that target their keywords and direct visitors to one of your landing pages, you may position your programme as a more alluring substitute. Include these keywords in your meta descriptions, H1s and H2s, and header tags to ensure that you are seen when people search for comparisons, such as “Company A vs. Company B.”
Optimise your review listings
When talking about listing optimization, don’t forget to claim and improve your review listings on Capterra, G2, and other databases. Include as many pictures and videos as you can in your company description, and go into great depth. Don’t compromise on quality!
Keep trying to get reviews, and if someone gives you a bad one, always respond in a nice way. If you work hard, you can improve both your profile on the directory website and your overall Google ranking.
Make sure you retain your existing clients
It’s a common error to spend too much effort getting new customers and not enough time keeping your current ones. Keep in mind that retention is more cost-effective and profitable than acquisition because it improves evaluations, which in turn encourages further acquisition.
Although it can be tempting to look for the newest marketing “hack,” the fundamentals are really important. Do you provide them with the respect they deserve?
